Maxi Bee farm visit: the beekeeper experience
Embark on a unique experience with Abellaires Empordanesos, where you’ll discover firsthand the fascinating world of bees.
After putting on our beekeeper suits, we will head to the apiary (just 5 minutes by car). There, we’ll explore the natural surroundings and the flora that nourishes our bees.
We will open the hive to observe the organization and work of each bee up close, discovering the importance of the smoker and the uncapping tool in the beekeeper’s work.
The experience includes a session to answer all your questions, a short visit to our workshop, and, as a final treat, a tasting of three honeys from our own production.
We will conclude the visit at the shop, where you can find a wide variety of honeys and hive-derived products.
Minimum of 10 people required for this to go ahead. The cost is €39. Payment up front required. If you cannot make your payment within 15mins of registering for the event your registration will be rejected. You can still come along but please contact Jackie on jak01@me.com to add your name to the list once your payment has been made.
