Directions to meeting place

From North, take C-31 through Palafrugell, Palamos, Calonge, Platja d'Aro, join the C-65 at Santa Cristina and take exit 5 to Solius. Follow the GIV 6611 for a couple of kilometers, passing Mas Pla on your right, until you reach the parking area of Santa Maria de Solius. From South, C-65 towards Santa Cristina, exit 5 and follow as above.

Route Description

This route of approximately 17.5 kms consists of good forest tracks mainly, but there are sections on narrow and uneven paths. One long steep downhill section on a good path, one very short stretch of steep and more difficult terrain, but only about 100 metres; we cross the Ridaura at one point where you might have to take your boots off, but hopefully we can use stepping stones. A couple of stretches of tarmac on the outward and return sections. Far-reaching views for most of the trail.
