Photo presentation – Emporda from Above by Karen Skinner
We are very happy to welcome Karen Skinner as a speaker. As well as being a champion paramotor pilot and world record holder, Karen takes some absolutely stunning photos. Many of us know the Baix and Alt Empordà areas very well from the ground. Karen can show us this area from a striking new perspective – from the air.
Among many incredible adventures Karen can tell us about is a 260km flight crossing our beloved Catalunya from Fraga to Roses in 5 hours 30 minutes. This was just a practice for non stop world distance record in a paramotor! She is currently holder of 8 world records and member of the Spanish Paramotor team since 2006. Karen still finds time to fly locally to her home in Calonge. I am sure many of you have seen her distinctive red paramotor with black wing tips flying around. Be sure to give her a big wave next time.
