- From Palafrugell take the GIP 6531 towards Begur and then the first turning into Esclanya. Keep to the right in the direction of Alfok restaurant and park in the public carpark in front of the civic centre. Go round the back of the building to the outdoor terrace. From Begur, take the GIP 6531 towards Palafrugell. Take the 2nd turning into Esclanya, a few hundred yards after the Casa de Campo urbanisation.
- Route Description
- The route takes us out of Esclanyà on easy forest tracks. There will be a chance to stop and have a look at the Cactus Farm. We then cross the main road to Begur and continue across farmland and through the forest to Tamariu. Here we can have a refreshment stop at the beach before returning to Esclanyà via a different trail. Most tracks are wide and well maintained, but sometimes we will take narrow and more uneven paths with some ascents, but nothing over about 50 metres.

- Please be at the Polivalent at 09:45 to have time for coffee and ensure a prompt start at 10:15

- Lunch is available in the Local Polivalent for those who wish. No menu del día is offered but there is a good variety of dishes including tapas, sandwiches, burgers and fish/meat main courses., all at reasonable prices

This will be a pleasant circular walk of approximately 8 km starting and finishing in Esclanyà with a refreshment stop at the picturesque bay of Tamariu. It rates as a Level 2 walk according to the walking group guidelines and will last approximately 3 hours
