Bravas April walk

Circular walk of about 7 km starting from the bay of La Fosca and following the coast path northwards through Cala S’Alguer, Castell beach, the ruins of Poblet Iberic, the Barraca d’en Dali, then heading inland to return on paths alongside fields and through the woods.

Directions to meeting place
From the C-31 take exit 326. From the south (Calonge etc), first exit, then straight on at roundabout following signs to La Fosca. From the north (La Bisbal, Palafrugell) take 4th exit at roundabout, then bear left to cross over the C-31, and straight on at the roundabout, following signs to La Fosca. You will turn right at King's camping, then following round to the right (Cami de Cap de Planes). After a few hundred yards, you should be able to park. Then walk down Carrer de la Roca Negra and Ctra Fosca to the sea front. The Hostal is a yellow building on the left.
Route Description
The route starts off along the seafront of La Fosca beach, then up past the ruins of the castle, following the GR92 coast path to the beautiful Cala S'Alguer with its picturesque fisherman's cottages. This part of the path is a little uneven until we get down to Castell beach. Crossing the beach we can take a look at the ruins of an Iberian settlement and we will pass the Barraca d'en Dali on the path through the woods as we turn inland. The remainder of the route is on good dirt tracks and forest paths. There are a few ups and downs, but nothing exceeding 50 m.

Meet at 10 am at the Hostal Restaurant on the beach in La Fosca to walk off at 10.30 am

As the restaurant choices in La Fosca are limited and expensive, we will drive into Palamos to have lunch at the Hotel Trias (same management as La Masia) . Menu del dia 17.95 euros.
